Montreal Recreation
Montreal is the only Canadian city to be completely surrounded by water thus making the city home to over 90 marinas. With the added presence of historic Canals, Ports, and the wild Lachine rapids, there can be so much for boating enthusiast to enjoy about Montreal.
Besides plenty of water activities, Montreal has 466 miles of bicycle paths, and was rated by Bicycle magazine as being the best city for cycling in North America. Although scenic paths run through many of the city’s parks and along its shore line, the city has also constructed several new bike paths leading into the more central parts of the island. Bike rentals can be found in the Old Port and along most waterfront boroughs.
