Being a Montreal nightlife resident, I can't emphasize how important it is if you're planning a special event to have the proper VIP hookups.
That said, most clubs and venues have a VIP guest list, but be warned, many times the VIP line up is slower and much longer than the real line up, often with clients facing an early cut-off time such as 11pm or waiting a long time to not get.
This is caused by promoters trying to fill the club with as many party goers as possible.
Confusing, yes! But there is hope, Montreal VIP works with "above the guest list", let's call it the back door.
