Montreal VIP staff picks

Here is a shot list (no particular order) of my fav. places in Montreal :

Le P'Tit Plateau : Amazing bring your own wine french place. Their  duck confit and lamb is amazing!

Au Pied de Cochon : The definition of decadence. classic french food with a unqiue twist with a focus on foie gras, fresh seafood, duck and pork. This place is not one of PETA's favs smile

Schwartz's : World famous Schwartz's, serving the best smoked meat from the original recipe of spices since 1928.

Ruby Lounge: The best Dim Sum in Montreal with some of the freshest seafood around.

My tastes aren't as fancy:

Sana: Great authentic Indian / Pakistani restaurant on Jarry St. just north of Jarry Park.

Souvlaki George: A lunchtime favourite.  Cheap and greasy -- what more could you want?

Basha: best shish-taouk in town.

Dieu du ciel: I've never tried the food, but this place makes the best beer in Canada--hands down.

Re: Montreal VIP staff picks

El Meson - Mexican Restaurant - Directions
Located along the lake shore in Lachine.  This quiet little restaurant is owned by a recently immigrated Mexican family and has a very authentic feel with great dishes.

Chows - Chinese Restaurant - Directions
Tacky and small, but cheap and tasty. They have a small buffet with all the basic white Asian food you can eat.

Toto's - Pizza Place - Directions
   Hands down Excellent Pizza!

Topaze - Greek/Mediterranean Restaurant - Directions
Located on the lakeshore in Lachine, great prices, good sangria.
