Bal en Blanc Tips

March 4th, 2013 by

Tips for one of the top Montreal nightlife events of the year, Bal en Blanc, 2013:

Get there early.

Headliners usually start around 2am but expect to miss them if that’s when you get to the line.

Get there early, IE, 8pm to avoid a lineup. Or talk to us about VIP access.

Leave the hate at the door.

NOT a recommended event for homophobs (4 out of 10 party-goers are openly LGBTA)or haters generally. Expect a mixed bag here: everything from 40+ to Jersey Shore to Montreal nightlife’s elite.

Don’t bring stuff.

You won’t be allowed to bring anything in, including water bottles, so don’t bring anything but cash…Just make sure you don’t leave it in your coat pocket (standard good form for coat check at Montreal clubs generally).

 Actually wear white.

Yes, you can get away with jeans…But if you aren’t wearing some white, be prepared to be wearing it outside—in the form of snow, that is—as dress code may be strictly enforced in some cases…

Also note: If you do end up getting in without white on, don’t expect it to make you stand out in a good way, unless you enjoy being pointed and laughed at. If you want to stand out admist the sea of white, VIP entrance and access is the way to go for Bal en Blanc!

Stay for 4 nights minimum.

Not only will you not be up for travelling the next day, but remember that it’s White Party Week, with tons of related Montreal nightclub events snowballing in the days leading up to the party (No, don’t wear white to all of them!). For optimal Bal en Blanc balling, we recommend VIP at some or all of these events. Repetition is rhetoric that works…and we aren’t talking about the EDM beats.
